Den besætter flåde af folkedrab Sri Lanka har sat en flåde detachement med helikopterlandingsplads på Kachchatheevu ø, som er beliggende på trans-oceaniske hav-ruter i Palk Strædet og har længe været en ø af strid mellem Tamil Nadu State i Indien og enhedsstat singalesiske stat besætter landet Eezham tamilerne. Brug den fjendtlige stemning hersker mellem Tamil Nadu fiskere og Eezham Tamilske fiskere på grund af meget omstridte ulovlige og destruktive midler til fiskeri af trawler operatører fra Tamil Nadu og formilde den katolske Etablering i Jaffna ved frivilligt at rekonstruere kirken Saint Antony på Kachchatheevu, den besætter flåde har forvandlet holmen i en militær “sikkerhedszone”. Den afdøde Chief Minister Tamil Nadu Ms Jayalalithaa var på kant med New Delhi modsatrettede Colombo territoriale rettigheder til øen.
