Et tidligere medlem af Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) onsdag identificeret et foto lækket i de seneste dage ved soldater fra SLA som for viser liget af oberst Ramesh, den tidligere chef for LTTE i Batticaloa, som var kommet til SLA kontrollerede område med civile under de sidste timer af Vanni krigen i maj 2009. Ifølge en tidligere lækket videooptagelser, filmet mens Sri Lanka soldater blev forhører det tidligere Tiger kommandør den 22. maj 2009, bekræftede oberst Ramesh hans identitet som Thurairasasingham Thambirajah, født den 18. august 1964, i Arasadith-theevu, Kokkaddichchoalai af Batticaloa distriktet.
