kemiske våben mod LTTE-soldater i Puthukkudiyiruppu (PTK) i weekenden, ifølge
Lawrence, kommandør i LTTE, som personligt var tilstede ved angrebet og undslap,
udtalte LTTE-kilder tirsdag til TamilNet. Den srilankanske forsvarsminister
påstår, at flere hundrede Tiger-soldater blev dræbt sidste weekend, herunder
ledende officerer. Mistanke om brugen af kemiske våben deles af mange, der har
set de fotografier, der blev offentliggjort af SL's forsvarsministerium, men nu
kommer anklagen fra LTTE. Tigrenes kilder hverken bekræftede typen af kemiske
våben eller sagde noget om de tab, der blev påstået af Colombo.
