Lederne fra Tokyo Donor Konferencen, der mødtes i Oslo d.28.april for at diskutere den forværrede situation i Sri Lanka, genbekræftede deres støtte til de norske mæglere og besluttede at mødes igen i Tokyo for yderligere at diskutere skridt og fælles aktioner for at opmuntre parterne til at arbejde hen imod en varig løsning i Sri Lanka.

Lederne fra Tokyo Donor Konferencen (EU og Japans Regering, USA og Norge) mødtes i Oslo d.28.april til samråd.


Mødets formål var at vurdere den alvorlige situation i Sri Lanka og undersøge, hvordan lederne mest effektivt kunne reagere på den.

Lederne gentog deres dybe bekymring over den nylige forværring af situationen i Sri Lanka, idet de fordømte alle voldshandlinger og opfordrede til at standse dem.


Lederne fra EU, Japan og USA genbekræftede deres støtte til de norske fredsmæglere.


Lederne har besluttet at mødes igen i Tokyo for yderligere at diskutere skridt og fælles aktioner for at opmuntre parterne til at arbejde hen mod en varig løsning i Sri Lanka.
