En højtstående delegation af de Tamilske Tigere (LTTE), er planlagt en tur på 3 ugers varighed til Europa, hvor de vil blive ledet af det politiske overhoved S.P. Thamilchelvan. De tager afsted på onsdag fra Katunayake International Airport (KIA).

Der forventes at delegationen diskuterer med lovlig og konstitutionel ekspert, som har formuleret den midlertidige egen regerings autoritets forslag (ISGA), oplyste kilder. Teamet vil også møde flere embedsmænd fra flere forskellige europæiske lande under deres rejse.

Denne delegation omfatter Hr. P. Nadesan, overhovedet af Tamil Eelams politi, Hr. Para, overhovedet af dommerne, Hr. Pulithevan, Hovedsekretæren af LTTE´s freds sekretariat og det forventes at Hr. Kausalyan, som er det politiske overhoved for Amparai-Batticaloa, ankommer til Colombo tirsdag aften fra Kilinochi, oplyste kilder fra Vanni.

LTTE delegationen vil opholde sig i Geneva i en uge fra d. 1. oktober. Det forventes at delegationen skal møde embedsmænd fra den Schweiziske udenrigsminister og UNHCR. Senere er forventet at de skal møde de forenede nationers menneske rettigheds kommission og ICRC´s embedsmænd.

Det forventes at delegationen skal rejse til Oslo, hvor de d. 7. oktober vil møde den norske viceudenrigsminister Hr. Vidar Helgessen og den special fredsudsendte Hr. Eric Solheim, oplyste kilder.

Rejseplanene for LTTE´s delegation inkluderer også de øvrige besøg til Irland, Danmark og Schweiz, oplyste kilder.
