Otte civile, heraf et barn på 6 mdr., en 4årig
dreng,  deres mor samt en engelsk lærer blev dræbt. 14, heraf fire børn og endnu
en lærer blev såret i et luftbombardement, udført af Sri Lanka's Luftvåben
(SLAF), mod en civil bebyggelse i Kiraagnchi i Poonakari (Pooneryn) division,
Kí'linochchi distrikt, fredag kl.8.10. Tre huse blev helt
ødelagt, og mange huse beskadiget under det vilkårlige
luftbombardement.

 I.Sivanayaki, 27, den engelske lærer på Veravil
skole, blev dræbt, da hun var ved at forlade sit hus for at gå i skole.
Gowrinayaki, 34, hendes børn, Thamizhveanthan, 6 mdr., og Kajeevan, 4. blev
dræbt, da deres hus blev ødelagt under bombardementet. En anden mor, S.Sumathy,
27, blev dræbt, hendes to børn, Banushan,6, og Sabheena, 5, blev såret under
angrebet. Deres far gik fri, da han var på vej til Ki'linochchi, da hans hus
blev bombet. De andre dræbte blev identificeret som Kathiravelu
Thiruneelakandar, 79, Vijaykumar Vithusha, 21, og Inthiran Lalitha.

 

De sårede blev bragt til Muzhangkaavil hospital, og
de alvorligt sårede overført til Ki'linochchi hospital.

 

Fire af de sårede, som fredag blev bragt til
Ki'linochchi hospital, identificeredes som Banushan Suthaharan, 6, Kaarunyan
Sasitharan, 8, Arulanantham, 72, Tharmalingam Poomani, 68.

 

Banushas søster, den 5årige Sabeena Suthaharan,
blev bragt til Ki'linochchi hospital i den anden ambulance.

 

De andre sårede i angrebet blev identificeret som
Kamalathevi Sathasivam, 60, Vijayakumar Sivananthi, 36, Vijayakumar Dinoshan, 2,
Arulanantham Leelavathi Saththiyanathan Theyvanayakai, 43, Sasitharan Karunyan,
8.

 

Sreevathy Rajeaswari, 39, lærer på Kiraagnchi
Tamilske Blandede Regeringsskole, blev også såret under angrebet.
